Delivers outstanding resolution and contrast at all focal lengths, superb sharpness and soft bokeh as well as exceptional close-up performance. Minimised focus breathing, fast and precise autofocus combined with high-level mobility and operability, makes this lens formidable.
This is the first zoom lens in its class to offer half-macro capability throughout the zoom range. Achieves a minimum focusing distance of 0.26 m at the wide end and 0.42 m at the telephoto end with a maximum magnification of 0.5x throughout. When the 2.0x teleconverter is added, you achieve a life-size 1:1 macro at all focal lengths to further your creative possibilities.
